hot Chocolate
There is nothing better than warming up with a hot, thick cup of hot chocolate. And this winter, it is expected to be colder than normal.
Therefore, I suggest that you gather these handful of ingredients and make this mix for the snowy days ahead.
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate bar (I use at least 60% cocoa)
2 1/2 C Dry Milk (I suggest investing in a good quality brand)
1 1/2 C cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt (finely ground)
1 Tablespoon cornstartch
2 C powdered sugar
Using a food processor or hand grater, grate the chocolate bar into small shavings. This will be easier to do with a processor, but it can be accomplished with a hand grater. I believe this step is worth it as it adds to the creaminess of the drink. Set aside.
Sift together the rest of the ingredients using a whisk to combine. Mix in the grated chocolate.
Store in an airtight container. Use 1/4 cup of mix to 8 ounces of steamed milk.
Yum! Delicious.
